Three words to qualify Dave and Christina's wedding: classic, timeless and elegant. They were married at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, a majestic church built in 1908. Due to the heavy downpour, most formal bridal portraits had to be done indoor, but then, finally, the sun came back out and we were able to do a few more portraits at the beautiful garden of the Franciscan monastery, next to their reception location at St Francis Hall, which was built in 1931 and fit perfectly in the couple's wedding theme.
I was looking forward to the special touches that I knew Christina would add to her special day, and she did not disappoint. I loved all the details, such as the personalized robes for her bridal party, to the meaning of the gifts Christina and Dave gave each other. They also showed the same appreciation and care toward their guests with adorable wedding favors, flip flops for dancing, and shuttles to go from one wedding location to another (if you've ever been in DC, you understand how awesome this is! Parking is a nightmare in our nation's capital).
This is one of my favorite photos of a bride with her father.
I have to say, one of my favorite memory of the wedding is Christina and Dave's adorable dog, Benji, all dressed up in a suit, and with a boutonniere matching the groom and the other groomsmen. Benji had such a great time at the reception, he enjoyed all the attention he received. I loved that St Francis Hall allowed Benji to be part of this celebration.
The bride's sorority sisters performed their traditional dance :)
