I met the bride, Chante, at another wedding that I photographed last year. She was one of the bridesmaids, and I was so thrilled when she asked me to be her own wedding photographer! It was also fun for me because her soul mate - Sebastian - was German, so I felt like we shared an European connection (lol).
This Fall themed wedding was in Northern Virginia, in the charming Wakefield Chapel, followed by the reception at the Woods Community Center.
Chante was anxious initially, just like any bride. But even under stress, she remained lovely as she was complimenting her entourage and inquiring about everybody's well-being. She had decided on having a first look, so that Sebastian could see her for the first time as a bride, without a room full of people.
And let me tell you this, I usually don't get emotional at weddings, I have way too much to do ;) But that day at the reception, during the Father/Daughter dance, I got teary. It was so beautiful to see how much those two loved and respected each other.
It was an honor for me to capture this very special day.
Congrats Mr & Mrs Miller!
