The Summer is quite hot and humid in Virginia, so I usually take a break from photography, and September marks the kick off for the Fall (and busy) season. I started with a session with Kaila and her horse Moving Mia; they both participate (and win!) in competitions. I've been interested in doing this ever since Kaila talked about Mia and her passion for horse riding. And the fact that Kaila is beautiful is just an added bonus :) This shoot reminded me how tricky it can be to work with animals. I'm used to photograph cats and dogs, and the last time I was this close to a horse, it was in Iceland, where the horses are much, much smaller. So I was quite impressed by Mia's size! And this leather halter? Kaila found it in an antique shop, and 1996 is actually the year she was born! How awesome is that?
I am a French expat living in the USA, more precisely in beautiful Virginia. I took 8 years of Spanish but can't speak it. I love pretty stationery, real books, high heels (even if I rarely wear them), purple is my favorite color... if you couldn't tell!. And photography is my passion :)
