Do you remember Cedric and Gloria? I photographed their engagement session just 2 months ago. Their wedding was going to be in a year, but due to unexpected events, they decided to get married now in order to have all the people that mattered the most to them at their wedding.
Cedric and Gloria decided on an intimate ceremony to be held a few days before the wedding day, so that her dad could be there. It was beautiful and heartbreaking, but Cedric still managed to get people to laugh, despite the circumstances.
Shortly before their wedding day, Gloria's father passed away. But he had wished for his little girl to have a beautiful and memorable wedding, so she got married as planned. The days before and after the wedding were dark and rainy, but on Cedric and Gloria's special day, the sky was clear... We all took it as a gift from her father!
This wedding was at the Fredericksburg Area Museum in downtown Fredericksburg. Jeri, the event planner extraordinaire from Twila & Co, gathered several amazing vendors to create a beautiful day for Cedric and Gloria. It was an intimate setting, which was perfect for them.
It was very special for me to photograph Cedric and Gloria: I've known them and Gloria's family for years. Over the past few months, I got to laugh and cry with them, as they were facing some very difficult times. Cedric and Gloria are incredible people: they are gracious and loving. I wish them the best.
The favors were ornaments personalized with the couple's initials.
